It appears that the project of “building the party” - through alliances, engagements, the construction of new “fronts” - can lapse into a kind of auto-ethnicisation: we the good, the brave, the committed, the little people; a populist “rainbow coalition” against the liars, the fascists, the warmongers…we noble savages, uncorrupted by bourgeois morality or the “immoral logic” of Capital, primordially innocent and eternally victimised. In what image are such “savages” creating themselves?
