Ken MacLeod’s post on the progressivism of fools is well-made and timely. I’m persuaded that the anti-Islamist animus of progressives is irrational at its core, that the cloth from which it is woven is a fragile (and compulsively maintained) tissue of metonymy, and that it stands in the way of constructive engagement.
