I’m pleased to report that so far I haven’t had a single spam comment since I modified the submissions page.

It appears that ad hoc alterations work better than universal plug-in solutions, because if the latter become widespread enough there’s an incentive for spammers to recognize and circumvent them.

There is a lesson here about fitness and diversity, I think.
