I’ve added an additional field to the comment submission form, which requires comment submitters to type in a magic word in order to get their comments accepted. Comment spamming robots that try to submit standard WordPress comment submission form values will be foiled. It will be interesting to see if the spammers bother to write the necessary logic to handle this ad hoc deviation from the standard form. Is it worth it, just to spam one site? If they do, I’ll have to go one cleverer…
