Scheme on the CLR

An alpha release of Common Larceny, a Scheme implementation that targets the CLI, is now available for download.

Sadly not mono compatible at present, but I expect that will change.

They want feedback and suggestions from testers. They should get a mailing list - and a wiki!

It will be interesting to see how this implementation performs, as Scheme like Python is a dynamic language. Since Jim Hugunin’s IronPython turned out - contrary to its creator’s own expectations - to demonstrate the eminent suitability of the CLR as a platform for such languages, we can presumably hope for great things from Common Larceny as well.
